About Sarah Coy
As a makeup artist, Sarah Coy is dedicated to helping you look and feel your best on your special day. In addition to working freelance with photographers and magazines, Sarah also has worked for various cosmetic lines like MAC Makeup. Sarah’s work as a freelance makeup artist has enabled her to develop her expertise in a wide range of styles, giving you a fashion forward look you can be proud of.
Education
Sarah Coy started out working in theatre where she developed her love of makeup artistry. Upon moving to Southern California, she started working for M.A.C Cosmetics where she was trained by some of the industries leading artists. While at M.A.C she quickly excelled in a series of certifications leading up to a Fashion Show Certification for which she worked at Mercedes Benz L.A. Fashion Week. She left M.A.C and continued to work in theatre focusing on the artistry side of makeup. During this time she has done numerous plays, photo shoots, weddings, and events. Some plays include SBCC’s productions of Seascape and Ambition Facing West. In addition to theatrical work, Sarah has had work published in magazines such as Garage Magazine and Hopelessly Romantic. Recently, she has started to work on opera and theatre in San Francisco and around the bay area. Her work could be seen this summer at Festival Opera in La Traviata, at Opera San Jose in Idomeneo, and at the SF MOMA’s Four Saints in Three Acts: An Opera Installation. The next year is filling up fast with things to come including plays, opera, shoots, and weddings.

Advocacy
